Covid-19: Songo’s population receive 500 handmade masks

Uíge - An overall 500 handmade masks were offered on Sunday to the residents of Songo municipality, northern Uíge province, by the 1º de Agosto club’s supporters, as part of its 43 years anniversary celebrations.

According to the provincial coordinator of the club’s supporters, Alcides Maiacala, the activity aims to raise awareness in the community towards the fulfillment of the preventive measures and combat against Covid-19 and other diseases such as malaria and HIV-AIDS.

He added that these actions will also be carried out in other municipalities, and reiterated the need to scrupulously comply with the measures against the Covid-19, since the country will only grow and develop in all aspects, with healthy people.

The Angolan Armed Forces Club was created on August 1, 1977 and have, since today, in Songo, a representation of its supporters headed by Vieira Victor.
