NGO DAPP-Angola invests over USD 5 million in teachers training
Lucala - The non-governmental organisation Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) has applied USD 5.5 million in the first and second stages of the implementation of the “Cuanza-Norte-based Educational Project” initiated in 2010 under the institutional support of the Angolan government and other partners.

The information was disclosed on Saturday by the DAPP-Angola CEO, Rikke Viholm, during the closing ceremony of the second stage of the “Teachers Upgrading and Communitarian Literacy Development”.
Rikke Viholm revealed that at least USD 3.2 million had been invested in the first stage of the project, while in the second stage the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) financed USD 2.4 million for the accomplishment of the construction works of the project.
Lucala, which is the municipality where the said centre is located, is 34 kilometres to the east of Ndalatando City (capital of Cuanza Norte Province) and has a population estimated at 22, 674 inhabitants, most of them peasants.
