Covid-19: Cuando Cubango reports first case

Luanda - Southeastern Cuando Cubango province has joined the listo f the regions infected with Covid-19, after recording its first case that resulted in death.

With the confirmation of the first covid-19 infection and death in Cuando Cubango, Angola remains with only southwestern Nambibe province free from the disease, the secretary of state for Public Health has said.

Six months after reporting its two positive cases of Covid-19, Luanda remains the country’s epicentre of the disease with 2,583 infections, over a thousand recoveries and 151 deaths.

Angola’s covid-19 statistics show 4,475 positive cases, 162 deaths, 1,503 recoveries and 2,810 active patients.
