Speaking at a press conference to update the data on the pandemic in Angola, the minister did not specify the areas in which the government intends to create new restrictions.

According to the minister, the opening hours of the restaurants may possibly be revised, due to the fact that in many of these places customers have been seen in big clusters and without wearing masks.

Likewise, Sílvia Lutucuta said that the government is considering revising the terms that authorize the practice of physical activity, at open air, in specific parts of towns.

Regarding the resumption of classes, scheduled for the 13th of this month, in the subsystems of the II cycle of secondary education and in higher education, she reaffirmed that everything will depend on the epidemiological evolution.

However, she admitted that due to the trend of increasing cases, the Multi-sector Commission may choose not to allow resumption of the lessons in the mentioned date.

Sílvia Lutucuta stated that in the coming days, the Multi-sector Commission will announce the new steps to be taken in the face of Covid-19.

Angola currently has 353 infected, with 19 deaths, 108 recovered patients and 226 active cases.
