86 suspected cases of measles reported in Cuanza Norte
Ndalatando - At least 86 suspected measles cases were reported by the health authorities of Cuanza Norte province from January to October of the current year, five of which were positive.

This information was provided to the press by the head of the provincial public health department and major endemics, Cruz Domingos, clarifying that the suspected cases were subjected to confirming tests at the central public health laboratory in Luanda, where the most of which ended up ruled out.
The official pointed out the municipality of Quiculungo, with 29 suspected cases, as being the most affected by the disease, which motivated the creation of epidemiological surveillance teams at the level of the 10 municipalities of the province.
In the light of suspected cases of the disease, he said, the municipality of Quiculungo was the target of a measles immunization campaign last June, which resulted in the vaccination of more than 75,000 children and over 80,000 doses of measles vaccines were made available.
