This was told by the engineer when discussing the theme "Case study, the effect of overload on road pavement life", on the sideline of the II International Road Seminar promoted by the Angola Roads Institute (INEA), in reference to the 28th anniversary of the creation of the institution, marked on November 17.
According to him, the roads are made on the basis of assumptions such as cargo volume, traffic, frequency and capacity, among others.
In its view, the structure of the pavement must be in accordance with the level of traffic and the characteristics of the traffic it will use, since the control of overload on the roads at national level must be strict.
On the other hand, he said that the regular conduct of traffic studies is important both for the classification and categorization of the country's roads, as well as a fundamental element in the elaboration of the execution projects.
The event, which took place under the motto "INEA 28 years uniting the country point by point", addressed issues related to the control of the quality of road works, effects of overloads on the life of road pavements, as well as models of conservation of roads, attended by national and foreign speakers.
