Speaking to the press, on the sidelines of the event, which brought together groups from Angola’s southern region, João Constantino said that it is the intention of the Ministry of Culture to continue promoting the roots of Angolan culture.
"This is an event aimed at the promotion, preservation and enhancement of the Angolan cultural root, gathering, every year, traditional groups to show the richness and diversity of Angolan culture," he said.
João Constantino expressed satisfaction that the goal set by the grouping of southern Angola (Namibe, Huila, Cunene and Cuando Cubango) was achieved.
The Angolan Traditional Music and Dance Concert is a partnership with IMOGESTIN.SA (a real estate Angolan company) and aims to promote traditional music and dance in ways that enhance this rich and diversified Angolan intangible heritage, as well as to retrieve and preserve cultural aspects and national identity.
