The author of the book, the Angolan journalist Florbella Malaquias, who was speaking at the book's presentation ceremony, said the work portrays a clear picture about the complex personality of the Jonas Savimbi, the founder of the country’s main opposition party UNITA.

The author added that over the years, Savimbi, who was at the time a rebel leader of UNITA, subjected many people, manly women, to inhuman treatment in Jamba bush.

She explained that the book is a written testimony that serves to  rebuild historical memories, bringing out the truth, seeking collective and individual reparation, whose aim is to guarantee non-repetition.

The 214 page-work was published by Maria Fonseca publisher.

Born on January 26, 1959, in eastern Moxico province, Florbela Malaquias  is holder of Law degree from Angola’s Agostinho Neto University (UAN) and holder of Master degree in Legal Co-Corporate  Sciences.

She was joined the armed forces of UNITA at the time of the armed conflict, having reached the rank of captain.

Executive administrator of National Radio of Angola (RNA), Florbella Malaquias is also writer, journalist and lawyer.
