The activity is part of the festivities of April 18, International Day of Monuments and Sites, aimed to mark the date, instill in students the habit of touring  monuments and historical sites, as well as provide moments of academic research of the place.

In the archaeological station, the hikers observed engravings and cave paintings of the "Morro Sagrado dos Mucuisses", considered one of the most beautiful sets of drawings of the prehistory of Angola, among other attractions of the place.

Speaking to ANGOP, the professor and head of the delegation, Ezequiel Jeremias, said that the visit was fruitful, as students got to know better the beauty and historical / cultural importance of the archaeological station of Tchitundo-Hulu, which has drawings and paintings with more than four thousand years.

He appealed to the cultural authorities of the province in particular and the country in general to preserve the place better because there were engravings and drawings at risk of disappearing due to wear and tear caused by time and human action.
