PAPE trains over 3000 young people in entrepreneurship

Ondjiva - At least 3040 young people from Cunene province were trained from April to October this year in entrepreneurship and business management, under the Action Plan for the Promotion of Employability (PAPE) 2019/2021.

PAPE is a program approved by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, in decree 113/19 of 16 April, foresees to train 30,000 young people in business management at the country level and has a budget of 21 billion Kwanzas for the concession of 10,00 micro credits and the distribution of 42,000 professional kits.

With the 3,040 young people, Cunene concludes the training on entrepreneurship in the implementation of PAPE to young people who already have professional technical training in the specialties such as plumber, electrician, locksmith, painter and other areas.

In the first thesis, a total of 596 young people were trained from April to May this year.

Speaking to ANGOP, the director of the National Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (INEFOP) in Cunene, Maria Baltazar, said the week-long courses benefited only unemployed young people.
