Trade Minister highlights importance of "China town"

Luanda - Minister of Commerce, Joffre Van-Dúnem Júnior said Thursday (Thursday) the importance of the "China City" shopping complex in Angola, as it creates many jobs for young people looking for their first job.

Joffre Van-Dúnem Júnior spoke during the opening ceremony of the first edition of the China City Furniture Fair, taking place from 24 October to 24 November in Viana district, Luanda.

According to the minister, the country should move from importer to producer, with a view to reducing financial expenses on the purchase of food and other products abroad.

He also said that the purpose of this Trade Fair is to create platforms between the various producers.

"China City" Chairman Jack Huarg said Angola is accelerating the process of economic diversification, especially industrial development, which needs the participation of many experienced foreign investors.
