The unit, which features modern architecture, has two conference rooms, a restaurant and also free parking for guests.

Speaking at the event, the AAA group's CEO, Carlos Manuel de São Vicente, said it was the last to open this year, and that by 2020 the group will try to conclude the opening of the remaining units in the provinces.

Without adding any costs, he explained that issues related to the installation of electricity were the reason for the delay of its inauguration.

The minister of Hotels and Tourism, Angela Bragança, said that with such enterprises, the province of Bengo will open an important chapter in boosting tourism, as it has strong potential.

He congratulated the group as the largest hotel chain in the country, located in 14 provinces, and underlined that tourism cannot be done without an active private sector.

"Our mission is to encourage and outline the paths," said the minister.

Bengo governor, Mara Quiosa, expressed satisfaction with the opening of the new unit, as the province has a deficit in terms of hotels.

She invited investors and entrepreneurs to invest in the province.

“With this new hotel unit we will be able to increase revenue collection at the level of our province”, stressed the governor.

The Caxito IU Hotel is the 17th AAA hotel unit installed in 14 of the country's 18 provinces, an investment that started in 2007.

The opening of this hotel unit has generated 22 new jobs for young people, mostly from Bengo province.
