Minister recommends stringent budget management

The minister was speaking to press at the end of the Thursday session of National Assembly aimed to voted for 2020-State Budget.
The Executive will prove to the opposition parties that it is possible to implement the planned budget and gradually improve the living conditions of the Angolan citizens, she told the journalists.
“It is now the responsibility of the Executive at all levels, central and local bodies, to do their best so that the Angolan citizens feel the positive effects of the State Budget execution in their daily lives,” said Vera Daves.
Vera Daves also stressed the Government pledge to honor the financial commitments assumed with creditors and, gradually, reduce the debt stocks.
The minister said the 2020-General Budget, which takes into account
the country's economic and financial circumstances, will focus mainly on the social sector and improvement of the business environment to enable the private sector to help in development of country's economy.
The document was approved with 132 votes in favour (ruling MPLA party), 50 against (Unita and CASA-CE) and two abstentions from the PRS.
