The information was given last Wednesday, in Luanda, by the secretary of State for Science, Technology and Information, Domingos Neto, when speaking to ANGOP at the “Food Fair 2019”, which is happening under the motto “More Industry, more employment and more Angola”.

According to Domingos Neto, the country has an immense flora and fauna, as well as marine resources that can be developed and presented as new food suggestions.

As example, he said, there are berries in the Angolan flora which are not normally eaten by the citizens, but they have a high nutritional value, in such case science is called to boost the value of such fruit.

In 2018 the authorities launched the programme dubbed “Science, Technology, Innovation and the Entrepreneurial Agent”, which is intended to perfect the institutional relationship between the science area and the academy sector plus enterprises, so that together they can find better solutions to social problems, in the ambit of the national scientific research agenda.
