Police chief reiterates commitment to staff training

Menongue - The General commander of the national police, commissioner Paulo de Almeida, reiterated Thursday the bet of the academic training of the corporation members to respond the ongoing changes in the country.

The top police official pointed out this challenge moments after he was received by the governor of Cuando Cubango, Júlio Bessa, in the fulfillment of the journey on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the National Police, which is marked on the Feb 28, whose central act takes place in Menongue, capital city of the Cuando Cubango province.

This training, according to the Police chief, starts from the bottom up so that the corporation has good police and delivers a better service to the populations.

According to him, Angola has a republican police, with the responsibility of ensuring order and public tranquility.
