The Cabinet minister, who was addressing the opening of the 12th Meeting of the Youth and Sports Ministers, underscored the need to work for major social justice and full respect for citizenship to secure a good future for all citizens.

In the meantime, the official recalled that the Angolan government’s National Development Plan (PND) pays a special attention to public policies in favour of young people based on sustainable human development programmes, with view to secure full participation of youths in political, economic, social and cultural structures.

Carolina Cerqueira also added that in most countries of the CPLP young workforce represents half part of the active people lower 25 years old of age, so it is fundamental to secure education, training, infrastructures and systems to accommodate young people, coupled with good governance to ensure the execution of development policies through incentives and support to social and communitarian projects.

The meeting of ministers preceded the ninth edition of the Biennale of Creators taking place from July 24 to 28 in Luanda’s Military History Museum.

CPLP is made up by Angola, Brazil, Cabo Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Prince, East Timor and Guinea Equatorial.
