Angolan journalists attend seminar in China
Luanda - Several journalists from Angola, Brazil, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, Portugal, São Tome and Prince and Cabo Verde are since Tuesday attending a seminar taking place until August 12 in Beijing, PRC, under the auspice of China Trade Ministry.

Seminar for journalists and press officers of the Portuguese-speaking countries

According to the Deputy Director of the China International Publishing Group Training Center, Li Hengtian, the seminar dubbed “Seminar on journalism and press of Portuguese Speaking Countries” emerges from the need his country has to deepen mutual political confidence as well as to push trade with those countries.
According to the Chinese official, in the last few years, interactions in all levels between china and Portuguese speaking Countries have become more frequent; the two sides deepened mutual trust, increased high level visits and bolstered local cooperation.
In his turn, the Director General of the Angolan Press Center, António Mascarenhas, highlighted the great opportunity that seminar will provide for professionals, who deal with foreign press to share their experience and improve their knowledge of the Chinese reality.
In the meantime, he recalled that Angola has a very good friendship and cooperation relation with the People's Republic of China. The two peoples share numerous experiences and journalism and the press could not be oblivious left aside.
The vast work programme of the seminar includes study visits to the Chinese press, radios and televisions, contact with Chinese media professionals, to share journalistic experiences, press service.
The seminar coincides with the forthcoming commemorations of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
