Registration of former combatants begins in July
Luanda - The process of re-registration of Former Combatants and Veterans of the Motherland and new censuses begins in July of this year, said on Friday in Luanda, the Secretary of State of Former Combatants and Veterans of the Homeland, Domingos André Tchikanda.

Speaking to the press, at the end of a meeting with the secretary of State for the Defense and Veteran Affairs of the Homeland of Uganda, the Angolan official said that the process, which will run until April 2020, will serve for the holding of proof of life of the pensioners already registered and the registration of new censuses.
Data from the Ministry of Former Combatants and Veterans of the Homeland indicate that as of June of this year there were 161,107 assisted, among former combatants, war disabled, orphans, and widows of combatants, companions (those who aid the blind and caderante).
The re-registration of former combatants and veterans of the motherland aims at maintaining statistical control and providing them with social support.
"This process is for everyone who took the census that took place until April of this year and also for others that may arise and who have documents proving that they are former combatants," said the Secretary of State.
