Covid-19: 100 new infections, five deaths
Luanda - Angola has registered the highest number of covid-19 infections in 24 hours on Sunday, since the disease was announced in the country in March this year, after reporting 100 new positive cases.

The information was released Sunday evening in Luanda by the secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who added that Angola reported five new deaths and three recoveries since the latest update.
According to the official who was addressing the covid-19 daily update briefing, the new positive cases involve one in central Benguela province and one in Soyo, northern Zaire, both people who sneaked from Luanda.
Those infected have ages between 10 to 83 years, including 82 males, Mufinda stated, adding that those dead had been in hospital.
With the new data, Angola’s covid-19 statistics show 1.672 infections, 75 deaths, 567 recoveries and 1.030 active patients.

Dundo - The laboratory that will be set up in northeastern Lunda Norte with a capacity to conduct one thousand covid-19 tests a day as from September will serve the country’s three eastern provinces (Lunda Sul, Lunda Norte and Moxico).
