The exhibition was organized by Artcom Expo International Association of Artists and Partner.

Nguxi dos Santos was part of a group of 70 artists from the United States of America, Brazil, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, Chile, Argentina, Albania, Norway, the United Arab Emirates and Italy whose works were shown in the palace gallery Maffei Marescotti, from 19 to 26 June, under the theme "Crossing Continents".

Artcom Expo had already awarded a medal of recognition to the Angolan artist for his contribution to the Angolan culture, and his choice for this edition was due to the documentary work he has done with the Angolan plastic artist Zélia Ferreira, a resident in Europe, who also participated in the contest.

In 2005 and 2015, Nguxi dos Santos received the National Prize for Culture and Arts, for his contribution in the field of Angolan documentary film and photography.
