Angola's seven wonders award handed over to Huambo government

Huambo - The government of the central Huambo Province received last Wednesday the Angolan Seven Wonders award, for the Morro do Moco (Moco Mount), the highest site of our country, with 2,062 meters above sea level and 1,510 of topographic prominence.

The award, a trophy with a number seven design, was handed over to the provincial governor, Kundi Paihama, by the ambassador of the referred Foundation, Sérgio Rodrigues.

In his intervention, the provincial government thanked the population of Huambo for conquering the trophy as result of the vote, stating that it means a challenge for the government to create access conditions for tourists sites in order to contribute to the growth of the economy.

On the other hand, the ambassador of Angola Seven Wonders, Sérgio Rodrigues, said that Moco mountain is a pride of all the children of this land, being one of the best tourists places.

On the other hand, the chairman of the National Seven Awards Foundation, Luís Sargadãos, praised the effort of people that voted for the election of the country’s seven wonders.
