The distinction, which recently took place at the 4th Conference of the Association of Certified African Compliance Professionals (ACCPA), took into account BNI's adoption of the best and most appropriate “due diligence” procedures last year.
According to a press release sent by the financial institution to ANGOP on Friday, the ACCPA Conference annually evaluates and awards banks that make significant progress in the implementation and management of their due diligence processes and procedures through previously established criteria.
The initiative, which is supported by the National Bank of Angola (BNA) and the Financial Information Unit (UIF), distinguished the Angolan banking institution that is closest to internationally recognized standards and also positions the bank's new customer acceptance model, as one of the best at national level.
