Egyptian Mohamed Salah, Senegalese Sadio Mané, both of Liverpool, and Algerian Riyad Mahrez, of Manchester City of England, are the last three to compete for the crown.
Flavio, who is a former Al Ahly of Egypt and Petro de Luanda player was a worthy ambassador of the Angolan football across borders with highlights to his achievements in winning the African Champions League in 2005, participating in the 2006 FIFA Club World Cup with the Egyptian club, and appearing at the 2006 World Cup in Germany, where he scored Angola's only goal in the competition.
His brilliant 14-year career has weighed on the invitation of the African Football Confederation (CAF), which for the second time invites an Angolan, following Gilberto Amaral in the previous edition.
Flavio started his football career at Angola’s Petro de Luanda winning the championship in (2000 and 2001) and top scorer (2001 and 2002) with 23 and 16 goals respectively.
