Basketball/AfroLeague: Egypt's Smouha Sporting Club in Luanda

Luanda - Egypt?s Smouha Sporting Club arrived in Luanda on Tuesday (21) to participate in the final phase of the first African Champions League Basketball Championships (AfroLiga) from 24 - 26 May at Multipurpose Pavilion of Kilamba, in Luanda.

Smouha Sporting Club, which comprises 12 players, coaches and federation leaders, were the first to reach Luanda led by the club’s president, Ahmed Aglan.

Also Sportive Salé Association (Morocco) and JS Kairouan (Tunisia) are expected in Luanda to participate in the competition, also called the final four.

Already in the country’s capital is the secretary general of Fiba-Africa, Alphonse Bilé.

Co-organised by the Angolan Basketball Federation (FAB) and FIBA ??Africa, the Africa Basketball League is the redesigned version of the then Champions League Cup.

1º de Agosto (Angola) hold most titles, eight in total, while the Sportive Salé Association are the champions of the last edition.
