This was confirmed to the press at the end of the meeting held last Tuesday.
The Vice President for Interclub of Basketball, António Camulogi, said that the Luanda-based teams and the provincial association decided to meet with the presidents of the clubs to legitimate the project soon.
He said that the objective is to find sponsorships to tackle, until December, the debt with referees, estimated at 11million kwanzas.
This is one of the conditions for the holding of national men senior tournament.
In turn, Petro de Luanda's vice-president for basketball, Artur Barros, added that the “ad hoc” commission would allow an urgent solution to the irregularities at the federation and, therefore, resumption of activities.
To spokesperson for National Association of Angolan Basketball Judges (ANJBA), António Camama, the federation debt with the referees does not affects the provincial championship, going from 8 - 30 November.
“We are open to negotiate and we will handle all the games of the provincial tournament. The referees for this competition will be paid by the clubs and not Luanda Basketball Association. It is a recurring practice in all levels, with the exception of the initiated players”, he referred.
The FAB debt with referees dates back to 2017.
