Angolan Pilot Ricardo Teixeira Successful In Second Test

Lisbon, 3/23 - The Angolan pilot Ricardo Teixeira, 21, brilliantly finished today the Scotch Croft race, the second test in the Formula 3, while driving a Honda Dallara. Speaking to Angop, from Scotland, his manager, the British Martin Stone, highlighted the excellent performance of the young Angolan pilot, having stressed, on the occasion, the fast way in which he finished the laps round the circuit.
The source stated that the pilot will now start training for his official debut race set for 02 April 2005, at the British Donington Park circuit.
To make his dream of racing Formula 1 (FA) come true in the coming next two years, Ricardo Teixeira recently signed a three season contract with Carlin Motorsports.
Angop also learnt from a source linked to the British team that, the referred contract foresees that the Angolan pilot races during this period in Formula 3 - "scholarship" in his debut and "championship", in the second year.
The third season is set for the most important phase of his career, with the possible entry into the F1, with the budget for the place to be guaranteed by various sponsors, including the Angola`s oil company, Sonangol.
