The body is coordinated by the Bishop Valente Bizerra Luís.
It comprises a Consultative Council represented by all bishops, pastors, and other members of the Church, states the meeting report published in the country’s Gazette dated 24 July Series 3rd.
This step enables the Commission to represent the institution in various national public and private organisations, including negotiating, getting assets, means and related services.
The Commission has a 90-day period to convene and hold the Ordinary General Assembly to elect the governing bodies of the church in Angola.
The election comes in the wake of the dismissal and dissolution of the Board led by the Brazilian bishops, over alleged systematic violation of the statutes and rights of members, with stress to racial discrimination and violation of statutory rules.
The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG) in Angola was legalised in 1992.
