Governor calls for improvement of Bolongongo roads

Bolongongo - The governor of Cuanza Norte province, Adriano Mendes de Carvalho, announced last Thursday that construction work is under way to improve the roads to the municipality of Bolongongo, 150 kilometers from Ndalatando.

The Governorr assured that he will strengthen the contacts with the Minister of Construction, Manuel Tavares Almeida, in order to accelerate the work of repairing the roads in order to contribute to the efficient mobility of people and goods.

Besides the improvement of the roads, Adriano Mendes de Carvalho also augured the electricity supply produced in the dams of Capanda and Cambambe to Bolongongo.

Mendes de Carvalho  said that studies of the electrification project of the municipality are in advance, and in the short term, the company contracted to carry out the task starts with the work.

Among the difficulties presented by the inhabitants of Bolongongo are the rehabilitation of the roads linking the municipality of Samba Cajú to Bolongongo, through the road sections, Uiangombe / Quiculungo / Bolongongo and Pambos do Sonhi / Quiculungo / Bolongongo.

The improvement of the supply of drinking water to the municipal seat, whose system of capture and distribution has been inoperative for a year, as well as the distribution of medicines to the health units of the region.

The residents also complained about the lack of agricultural tools and buyers of coffee grown in the region.
