Speaking at a meeting that the Minister of Former Combatants and Veterans of the Homeland, João Ernesto dos Santos "Liberdade" heldf with the assisted of the municipality of Menongue, during his two-day working visit to that province, the governor said that the situation of the former Combatants and Veterans of the Homeland in the province is controlled, but it is still worrying, given the lack of assistance, social reintegration, of this target group of which many have fought in the National Liberation Struggle.

On the other hand, he also announced that the Government also controls ex-military personnel not registered in the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) Social Security where only 1,205 retired persons are assisted, of which 834 are ex-FALA and 371 are ex-FAPLA, which has left some discontent within this group.

Pedro Mutindi was concerned about the non-continuation of the execution of the project for the construction of 200 homes for the former Combatants and disabled, previously scheduled, but that the works have been paralyzed since 2014, for whom it is necessary to watch over that fringe of society.
