Governors of eastern region outline "development agenda"

Luena - The meeting of governors of the eastern provinces of the country, namely Moxico, Lunda Sul and Lunda Norte are discussing and agreeing on Friday in Luena an "agenda for eastern regional development", which aims to reduce asymmetries.

In the opening act of this one-day meeting, the provincial governor of Moxico, Gonçalves Muandumba, explained that the traits and problems that unite the peoples of the region led the respective governors to make concerted efforts to enhance what is best in Moxico, Lunda Sul and Lunda Norte.

Muandumba, in the presence of his counterparts of Lunda Sul, Ernesto Kiteculo and Lunda Norte, Ernesto Muangala, said they are interested in making the eastern region a power, focusing on the valorization of their peoples, languages, tradition, crossing borders to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Zambia.

This singularity, according to Muandumba, the cultural, beyond the common problems, as is the case of ravines, which has been multiplying and gaining space, but also, the importance and "urgency" of combating regional asymmetries.
