Speaking to Journalists the Congolese official said that it was an opportunity to inform Angola, as president of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region, of the situation in the DRC, as well as to assess cooperation between the two states.

He said there was consensus within the various political forces and it is expected that by July the organization of the electoral registration will be completed for presidential elections, probably in December of this year.

He stated that the authorities of his country worked for political stability, among other tasks, to allow refugees to return to the country.

He believes that the stability and normalization of the political situation could contribute to the return of his compatriots from countries such as Angola.

The audience was witnessed by Angolan Foreign Minister Georges Chikoti and the Angolan ambassador to the DRC, Emilio Guerra.
