Accompanied by Angolan Foreign Minister, Georges Chikoti, the special envoy of President Joseph Kabila, who leads a multi-sector delegation of his government, is assessing the phenomenon in the region.

Angolan government has created logistical, food, medical and pharmaceutical conditions to assist the refugees, flocking the province due to political and military conflict.

After Lunda Norte, the two ministers are heading to the neighbouring Lunda Sul for the same purpose.

She Leonare Oshintudu, who arrived Friday morning in Luanda, was received in audience by the Vice president of Republic, Manuel Domingos Vicente, with whom he discussed the refugee issues, among the matters that concern the two States.

Angola and DRC’s extensive land and river border, in eastern zone, has facilitated the entry of some 30,000 refugees to the region on humanitarian grounds.
