Angolan female ministers commend Cuba's support

Luanda - Angolan ministers whose departments have co-operation relations with the Republic of Cuba in the domains of technical training and assistance on Thursday, in Luanda, highlighted the benefits obtained with the support of Cuba to the process of Angola's affirmation and development.

At a reception held to bid farewell to the outgoing Cuban ambassador to Angola, Gisela Rivera, the minister of Hotels and Tourism, Ângela Bragança, commended the historical friendship between Angola and Cuba, highlighting the significant contribution of the latter to the training of thousands of Angolan cadres.

The ministers of Culture, Carolina Cerqueira, Hotels and Tourism, Ângela Bragança, Cândida Teixeira (Education), Sílvia Lutukuta (Health), Victória Neto (Fisheries), and Maria do Rosário Sambo (Higher Education, Science and Technology) reaffirmed their availability to continue to count on the support of Cuba in the execution of projects relating to their respective sectors.

Angola e Cuba have co-operation and friendship relations that go many years back and which focus mainly in the areas of culture, health, education, hotels and tourism, plus fisheries, as well as staff training and technical assistance.
