In Lunda Norte, 56 projects related to the education, health, basic sanitation, housing and public security sectors are listed for the current financial year, with a global value estimated at 4.6 billion kwanzas.
The projects foresee the construction of a total of 109 classrooms, six health posts, nine residences for civil servants and three police stations, located in the municipalities of Chitato, Cambulo, Lóvua, Xá-muteba, Cuilo and Lubalo.
Governor Ernesto Muangala clarified, during a press conference, that each contractor has already received 15 percent of the global value and the works will have an execution period of one to six years.
The 27 remaining projects, with the focus of the construction of three two flour residential complexes with 18 apartments, in the municipalities of Caungula and Cambulo, Lóvuo, the rehabilitation of 200 kilometres of road on the pathways that link the municipal headquarter of Cuango to the localities of Cafunfu and Loremo, still awaiting for the first 15% of the global amount to get started.
The three buildings for municipal administration bodies come under the responsibility of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and State Reform (MATRE).
Likewise, the municipality of Lucapa is awaiting the results of the second public tender for the start of the works, since the first was cancelled due to irregularities.
These are two schools with seven and 12 classrooms and basic sanitation programmes.
