To increase production, the company, which started work two weeks ago, is working on expanding its “Lulu” branded soft drink and juice production lines.
Speaking today (Thursday) to Angop, on the first day of the 4th edition of the Expoindustry, opened by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, the official stated that Ghion Alimentos is also aiming to increase juice production to 50% by 2020.
Currently, the company has a monthly production of 10.8 million Lulu branded juice packages, and intends to increase, by the end of 2020, its production capacity to 15.3 million.
The start-up of this factory led to the creation of two thousand jobs, mostly for national citizens.
Located in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE) and at kilometer 30, the company also owns five factories and is also engaged in potato chips production.
Expoindustria, with more than 300 exhibitors, is a partnership between the Ministry of Industry and Eventos Arena, and has national companies from the cereal, meat, cotton, tobacco, sugar, beer, cement, wood and furniture sectors.
