BNA revokes exchange bureaus licences

Luanda - The National Bank of Angola (BNA) has withdrawn licences from seven foreign exchange bureaus operating in the country, due to inactivity, for a period of six months, ANGOP learned.

  • Angolan Central Bank revokes licences of seven exchange bureaus.


According to the Central Bank website, these are the foreign exchange offices "Dias & Poeira", "Expresso", "Global", "Kétsia", "Nevisa", "Ponto de Câmbio" and "Rede Crédito".

The act of revoking the licences indicates that, within a maximum period of 30 days from the date of publication of this notice, public and private institutions, with loan concession over the financial institutions described above, must report to the BNA’s Financial System Regulation Department and Organization.


These are the first exchange bureaus that have lost their operating licences this year.


The BNA is the regulatory and supervisory body and guarantor of the stability of the country's financial system.
