The idea is for the fish to be supplied to the children in their various forms of conservation, namely fresh, dry (half-cured) or smoked, in order to facilitate their consumption in the most remote areas of the country.

On this first day, which precedes the Integrated Aquatic Resources Management Council, to be held on Wednesday, 4, the participants will also discuss the degree of compliance with the 2019 fisheries and aquaculture management measures, proposals for management of marine, continental and aquaculture fisheries for 2020, the diagnosis of sanitary conditions in companies with processing, freezing, salting and drought lines, among other topics.

Speaking at the opening of the council, the Minister of Fisheries and the Sea, Antonieta Baptista, stressed the importance of the human factor, as one that makes it possible, with discipline and dedication, to carry out all other processes.

"People are of the utmost importance to the success of an organization, because they monitor and command all processes," said the official.

Antonieta Baptista explained that the technical-scientific council is a collegiate body, with an advisory character, whose mission is linked to the plan for the planning of maritime or river resources.
