Angola participate in 163rd session of FAO board

Rome - Angola participates in the 163rd session of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) board that will take place in Rome (Italy), as from 2 to 4 December, whose delegation is headed by the Minister of Agriculture and Forests, António Francisco de Assis

The session, which is being chaired by FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu, envisages, among other things, "adjusting the work program and budget 2020-2021" and reviewing the report of the joint meeting of the Program Committee and of the Finance Committee”.

The Angolan minister's agenda includes several meetings, notably with FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu and the president of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Gilbert Houngbo.

Under the program, Minister António Francisco de Assis will also hold meetings with counterparts from Namibia, Apheus Naruseb, Cape Verde, Gilberto Silva Carvalho, and  Italy Teresa Bellanova.

Also on the agenda is a meeting with the president of the group of African ambassadors to the United Nations Agencies in Rome (FAO, IFAD and WFP), the ambassador of Nigeria, Yaya Olaniran.
