Mbanza Kongo - Several staple food products were seized on Sunday at the customs post of Nóqui, Zaire province, by tax police deployed on the spot for attempting to re-export to the neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

These are 217 bags of maize of 25 kilograms, 70 boxes of milk powder, 400 boxes of milk in a package, 50 of vegetable oil and 1,250 bottles of 25 liters of food oil.

The information was released Monday to Angop, in Mbanza Kongo, by the director of the office of institutional communication and press of the provincial delegation of the Ministry of Interior (Minint), deputy inspector-prisoner Carlos Fidel.

According to the national police officer, the cargo was being transported in a container truck from Luanda, where the driver made false declarations to the Angolan border authorities, claiming that they were products destined for the province of Cabinda.
