The minister was speaking to reporters on his two-day visit to central Bié province.
According to him, with completion of rehabilitation works the 10 megawatts infrastructure will provide electricity to the municipalities of Camacupa and Catabola , 52 kilometers east of the province's capital city, Cuito.
The official added that the investment will allow the emergence of local small industries, and encourage agricultural production.
The 12 million Euros investment, funded by World Bank, will also enable the construction of medium and low voltage networks and public lighting of Camacupa.
Cunje I dam was hit during the country's armed conflict.
