The list was updated by the International Federation of Associated Basketball (FIBA-Africa), out of a list of 55 athletes.
The selection criteria were based on winning collective titles and individual performances achieved in the period 2010/2020.
The agency's website describes Carlos Morais (34 years and 1.93 metres tall) as an unavoidable name in Angolan basketball in recent years and cites some of his achievements.
It is noteworthy the fact that he was the most valuable player (MVP) of Afrobasket'2013, an event in which he was nominated three times for the ideal five, in 2011, 2013 and 2015.
Eduardo Mingas (41 and 1.98 metres) is described as “a post with a warrior's heart”, four times African champion by the national team.
The FIBA-Africa website highlights the fact that Mingas was named the MVP of the African Champion Clubs Cup in 2014, after helping Recreativo do Libolo to win the first continental trophy.
Point guard Armando Costa deserved the honourable mention of FIBA-Africa, which mentions him as “an experienced game organizer” who helped his club, 1º de Agosto, to win five African Champion Clubs Cups.
