Speaking to radio 5 about the match, to be held in the city of Suez, the stage of group E in the first phase, he recalled that it is an opponent who inspires care as it is ranked 28th in the FIFA ranking, against 122nd position of Angola.

The coach of the Palancas Negras (nickname of Angolan National team) said that this assessment does not mean that a victory is out of the question, appealing caution to the potential of the opponents.

Regarding Mali (65th place) and Mauritania (103rd), the coach also called for realism because of Angola's low international ranking against the opponents.

The Serbian Srdjan Vasiljevic said the good performance of the national team in the African tournament relies on a good preparation, whose conditions are not yet established.

The "Black Sable” will play in the eighth finals of a CAN, after the absences in 2015 and 2017.

In addition to Cairo, the cities of Suez, Alexandria, Ismailia and Port Said will also host the games.

This edition of the continental competition, to be played as from June 21 to July 19, unlike previous years, will take place in thirty days. Twenty-four teams (against 16 of the previous editions) are qualified in six groups.
