Pedro Gonçalves will guide the Palancas Negras, National Team, in the playoffs CAN2021 qualifying tournament in Cameroon and the World Cup in Qatar.
This was confirmed to press last Thursday by the president of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), Artur Almeida e Silva, who was speaking on the sidelines of the 12th Consultative Council of Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The FAF official said that it was not the right time for carrying out changes in technical area, due to financial grounds.
Under Pedro Gonçalves, who at the time was in charge of the team, after Serbian Srdan Vasiljevic dismissal, the national squad qualified for groups stages to Qatar World Cup, when the team tackled Gambia last June, he said.
Interestingly, Angola will receive Gambians as the first opponent next Wednesday at Luanda's 11 de Novembro Stadium, for the first round of group D for CAN2021 qualifying.
Pedro Gonçalves led the Under 17 National Team in FIFA World Cup category in Brazil.
The team were eliminated in the round of 16.
