According to the director of the Angolan University Programming Contest (AoCPC), Valeriano Marcolino, Angola was represented by Isutic's “The Winners”, “Isptec” and “Taskforce”, also from Isustic.
In the competition, 12 problems are presented to the teams, all in English, on a timed platform. These are mathematical problems solved with four (4) programming languages, namely C, C ++, java and Pyton.
The Angolan teams won the regional in September, which enabled them to compete in the Africa and Arab Collegiate Programming Championship (ACPC), held this weekend in Egypt, with more than 100 Universities from Africa and the qualifiers will go to World Cup in Russia, in June 2020.
Angola has been participating in regional competitions for four years, since 2016, and only now has it qualified for the African competition created in 1979.
To compete, universities enroll their teams at the same time as competitors from other countries. The time and date they are submitted to an online test, where the jury (online) is controlling the resolution of the exercises and after five hours in real time informs the teams and the winning countries.
Unlike regional competitions, where competitors are in their countries, the African and the world are in person.
